Sandy Young - Thank you for your nomination!

I was in tears by the end of your email. I have been thinking about that precious family ever since and I can't wait to meet them!!! "They" will receive a gift certificate for a session, a custom created dvd slide show showcasing the session, all images on a CD, and a $250 print credit! This is a $1000 worth of Amy Waddington Photography. And Sandy, because you were the person who nominated the winner.......YOU will receive a dvd slide show and a $125 print credit.

I was overwhelmed with all of the nominations I received. I truly felt that each and every family that was nominated were so deserving of this gift. It was difficult to decide who the lucky person would be. Thank you for taking the time to share such heartfelt stories about the loved ones and people you know. I wish I could just give it to everybody!! I really do. This giveaway was such a blessing to me, what a fabulous way to start off the new year every year!! So, I'll be doing it again next January!!!!!

PS. Sorry this post is a day late!! My family has been hit with the yucky yucky tummy flu!! :O(

I can't think of a better way to start off the New Year!!!

Then with a newborn session!! This sweet 3 day old baby boy was WIDE awake for most of the session. Even though we spent a lot of the time trying to get him to sleep.......I didn't even hear him make a peep. He was an absolute joy to photograph. You would never know it in these pictures that he was NOT sleepy! Here's a little sneak peek for mom.....................

A time to give back............

You know someone. You know someone who's experienced a tragedy, is struggling to stay afloat, is raising kids while holding down more than one job, or is volunteering selflessly despite extenuating personal circumstances. You know someone who can't afford custom photography, but who would cherish it. You know someone who deserves a year-round reminder of their family's spirit, love, and beauty.

You know someone. I guarantee it.

I want to know who they are, and I want to give them the chance to experience complimentary custom photography -- $1000 worth, to be exact. It's in your power to give them the artwork they deserve!

Oh, and the best part? The person who nominates the winner will receive a dvd slideshow and a $125 print credit.($250 value)

The rules:

* You cannot nominate yourself, and the person nominated must sincerely be incapable of purchasing my services.

* The nominee must reside in Northern,Idaho. Tell me who you know, what they're experiencing, and why they deserve my artwork. Please include a way to contact both your nominee and yourself as well.

* You must e-mail me the full story by 1/12/09. amywaddington@live.com

The winner will be announced on 1/16/09 -- get nominating! I can't wait to read all of your entries!

Open your heart to someone this holiday season and thanks for giving me the opportunity to open mine.

Blessings!

Amy Waddington

Snow + Snow + Snow = Snow Day!!!

No School!!! Yippee!!! Is it bad to LOVE snow days??? We had so much fun today! We didn’t even leave the house. We listen to Christmas music, baked cookies, played in the snow, drank hot coco and watched a movie. It was a PERFECT day. I am so grateful for my precious children. I could do a "snow day" everyday.

My Babies!!!

I woke up in a panic the other night....all I could think about was that my babies are turning 3 and 8. (yes,we celebrate two birthdays in December...CRAZY)I rushed them into the studio the next day and captured this image.

Ashton and Avery's very last picture at the age of 2 and 7. My precious Alden is 5 and I already told him that he is NOT allowed to turn 6!!! Our kids are being brainwashed that they *will* live with mommy and daddy FOREVER and they are not allowed to go off to college or get married......EVER!!!:O)
